           Product: Scilab software
           Version: 5.5.2 final version
          Hardware: PC
                OS: All Mac OS X
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Blocker

         Component: Scilab
          Assignee: bugzilla.admin at scilab.org

BUG DESCRIPTION:
----------------
After successfully installing Scilab 5.5.2 on a Mac OS 10.10.2 computer, clicking the Scilab 5.5.2 icon results in the icon bouncing, then quits
without starting Scilab. As suggested on the Scilab download page, I also downloaded and installed Java 6 for OS X
(https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=en_US).

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Scilab, rebooting and re-installing Java. None of these options worked.

ERROR LOG:
----------
When attempting to open Scilab 5.5.2 from a terminal shell, the following error is generated...

$ open /Applications/scilab-5.5.2.app/
LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -10810 for the file /Applications/scilab-5.5.2.app.

HOW TO REPRODUCE THE BUG:
-------------------------
1) Download and install Scilab 5.5.2 on Mac OS 10.10.2 as specified on http://www.scilab.org/download/5.5.2

2) Attempt to open Scilab 5.5.2 by clicking on the Scilab icon or typing the following into a terminal shell:
$ open /Applications/scilab-5.5.2.app/
