Bug ID: 13819
Summary: Editing a module: some important features are
undocumented
Product: Scilab websites
Version: unspecified
Hardware: PC
OS: All OS
Status: NEW
Severity: Medium
Priority: P5
Component: Atoms Portal
Assignee: bugzilla.admin at scilab.org
Reporter: sgougeon at free.fr
BUG DESCRIPTION:
----------------
CREATION PAGE:
* Version: the fact that the version can't be modified after the creation is not documented in the tooltip. Authors should be warned that the version
hierarchy should be consistent. Are releases sorted by version numbers or by creation date? This should be documented. For some modules, listed
versions look in a bad order, in such a way that we could think that the true "more recent" version is not the one with the highest version number.
Consistency of the version number provided could be tested before actually creating a new version.
* ATOMS packaging system: This option is not documented. Yet, its consequences are major in terms of module availability.
When a module has only .sci macros (or even a single one), no gateway, no dependencies, it could be available in the ATOMS system and GUI in a
straightforward way. Checking "YES" to this option could mean that the module must be tested "by hand" by S/E, and "NO" that it is not necessary.
Some explanations about packaging of modules would be more than welcome. The wiki does not provide them.
UPDATE / FILES:
* Actions performed by the CANCEL and the RESET buttons are not documented. A tooltip on each of them would be welcome.
