This error only exists in my Ubuntu environment. It works fine on Windows and CentOS.

I managed to get this fixed by setting LD_PRELOAD as following:

export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6

I am confused why this matters.
