Hi, Mr. Clement David.

Unfortunately no, even installing on Ubuntu 12.04 32 bit the latest binaries from the scilab site the behavior is the same.

I will do a more comprehensive series of tests on the following platforms:

Ubuntu 12.04 32 bit, physical machine.
Debian 7 Wheezy, Vmware player virtual machine
Linux Mint LMDE Cinnamon Edition version 1 (Debian-based),Vmware player virtual machine
Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca (ubuntu-based), Vmware player virtual machine
Linux Mint LMDE Betsy Version 2, Physical machine.

I will post a complete report in a couple of days.
