Thanks for updating my guesses. But why did you remove any reference 
to some existing branches, such as scicos, scicos_work, 
package_manager, etc?

Besides, I probably lack some culture but after googling again I only 
found "Message passing Interface" among the possible matches that 
could be related to a use in Scilab. Is this the good match?
