I share your views on this, for sure, but let me emphasize that this 
page also has another main goal, which is to find a solution for 
making the debugger work in Scilab 5. Contributions and debate welcome 
from the operational team as well as from the general public...

So far we didn't progress very much toward a feasible solution. I 
really have no idea about how to cope with the new Tcl interface and 
the lack of reentrance.
