Editvar for string matrix

Scilab 5.3.0 beta 5, when I try editvar 'copy and paste' cells of a string matrix, I get the following error message:

'Could not edit variable: Undefined operation for the given operands. '
'Could not edit variable: check or define function %c_s_s for overloading. '

and the operation is aborted.

This doesn't happen with matrix of numbers. Why?

Scilab 5.2.2, editvar 'copy and paste' works OK with a string matrix.
