Hello,

Step by step for a MY_BLOCK block:
   * use inkscape to draw an icon
   * save it to images/svg/MY_BLOCK.svg
   * Drag an drop your block into a diagram
   * check that your icon render well
   * File->Export to png and save it to images/gif/MY_BLOCK.png

That's all.
