It works fine on my MacBook Pro (same config as yours).<br>

It seems Scilab is unable to find gcc compiler.<br>
There is an additionnal "Component" to install in XCode > 4.6
to allow command line compilation.<br>
<br>
Open XCode then go to Preferences.<br>
Select "Downloads" then "Components", and install "Commande Line
Tools"<br>
This may fix your troubble.<br>
