is there an easy and automatic way to reinstall all the toolboxes
from a previous version? </blockquote>
<br>
A manual easy way: let's say that your previous version is 5.4.1 <br>
At the admin level:<br>
* copy the directory SCI_541\.atoms as SCI_550\.atoms (overwrite
it)<br>
* copy all your toolboxes SCI_541\contrib\* into SCI_550\contrib
(without overwritting both *toolbox_skeleton files)<br>

At the user level: <br>
* do the same for .atoms\ and contrib\* between scilab-5.4.1 and
Scilab 5.5.0 <br>
laying in C:\users\<username>\appData\Roaming\Scilab\*<br>
<br>
run Scilab 5.5.0<br>
run the ATOMS GUI<br>
That's it. <br>
However, obviously, this does not ensure that the previous releases
of your toolboxes<br>
will run correctly, dues to changes between 5.4.1. and 5.5.0 (for
instance, the figure.pixmap<br>
property has been removed. So if a toolbox used it, running it with
5.5.0 will fail).<br>
