I've noticed this project proposal just today and I remembered that I used to
(very briefly) use http://www.scilab.org/products/modules/pem/celestlab
CelesLab aerospace library in SciLab. Right now I'm working on my phd which
concerns satellites attitude and trajectories. I am going to submit proposal
for this project, where one of main parts would be provide essential
aerospace blocks for Xcos based on that library. Their license clearly
allows that, and right now I'm trying to reach authors. I have some
questions though:
- Does this seem a sensible way of approaching this project?
- This mentioned library is used exclusively for space applications. I
doesn't provide many crucial functions for rockets/airplanes. Project
description seems to precisely point out many specific blocks of this kind
that are required but to me it seems as quite difficult to provide and
thoroughly test all of those during single GSOC project timeline. Is it
necessary to provide all of those?
I'll appreciate any suggestions :)
