<div>up till now its not open source and the method is mccabe thiele method.</div><div>The software used is visual basic.</div><div>I want to use scilab and c++/javato design it a better and interactive way.</div><div>There is going to be two methods to calculate the  number of plates- </div>
<div><ol><li>mccabe thiele method</li><li>enthalpy concentration diagram</li></ol><div>Both of these methods are equally important as thought from student and industrial point of views.</div><div>But i am little confused how and where to apply for this in GSoC 2012.</div>
<div>All i can think is to go on for Design of experiment tag.</div><div>I have already developed a partial functioning program in MATLAB GUI and I want to implement it fully in scilab and contribute in open source.  </div>
