Hi,
The genetic algorithms toolbox is now included in Scilab v5.
http://gitweb.scilab.org/?p=scilab;a=tree;f=scilab/modules/genetic_algorithms;h=4d524fcb82b2df6b37a6eec9f0c2530f11dcaef7;hb=HEAD
The documentation for this module is available as a regular Scilab help,
or online :
http://www.scilab.org/product/man/category_genetic_algorithms.html
In the modules/genetic_algorithms/examples subdirectory, you may find
several example based on GAs, for example the GAdemo.sce script :
http://gitweb.scilab.org/?p=scilab;a=blob;f=scilab/modules/genetic_algorithms/examples/GAdemo.sce;h=e5c2928e0b3a0dcadf294460d70e9c1d93577db2;hb=HEAD
This should help you to get started.
If you have questions on this toolbox, you may contact me, or
the author of the toolbox, Yann Collette, who regularily
replies to messages in this forum.
Best regards,
Michaël Baudin
