Greek and Math symbols in labels, titles and legends

Hi Andreu,

unfortunately Scilab, unlike Matlab, does not understand TeX commands in legends and axis titles. So there is no elegant way to do it.
You can switch to symbol charset to produce greek letters and some math symbols (but you cannot mix normal and symbol charsets), or you can use ASCII codes, e.g. ALT-0181 gives a µ.
There is also the possibility to export the scilab graphics and use LaTeX to interpret TeX commands in the strings, as described in the newsgroup discussion http://groups.google.com/group/comp.soft-sys.math.scilab/browse_thread/thread/881e4568d74876ed. See also the bugzilla request http://requestzilla.scilab.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122.

HTH,

Matthias
