Can you also try this :

consolebox('on') // a "dos" console will be appear
do a diagram
and try to save your diagram

What have you got in "dos" console

You can also try nightly build :

Dear all,
I am running scilab-5.2.2 with Xcos-1.0 on a PC with Windows XP SP 3 Build 2600.

When using Xcos, simulation works just fine, but I cannot save any file anywhere. The save or saveas dialogue opens and i can chose a filname. In the Satusbar "File Saving..." is displayed, but no file is generated. 

Do know what may be the problem?
