[scilab-Users] Scilab on OS X Snow leopard

Hi Sylvestre, 

When I opened Scilab from Terminal, identical symptoms occurred (dock icon bouncing and hanging there until force-quit).
I didn't get any error messages.
Though when I force-quitted Scilab, an error report (to be sent to Apple) shows up.
Let me know if you want a copy of it.

While I was waiting for Scilab to start-up (well, it didn't at the end), there was a line showed up in Console saying "Error checking symlink for the target jvm"
By the way, I have tried Scilab 5.2.1 (and its nightly builds) and 5.2.2, and nothing has worked so far.
I have installed java SE 1.4, 5.0, and 6.0 and played with Java Preference, but no luck.

Now I can see that some people have the same or similar issue.
Hope you can find a workaround.

P.S. I use Scilab on Windows XP (on Parallels) and love it. I would love it more if I can run it natively on Mac because it is very slow on the emulator.....
