Having problems Using Plot functions

Hello,

   I am having problems. Whenever I try to plot any graph, the scilab
crashes and it closes everything. This happens even when I use Scilab
Demonstrations for graphics.

Is anything missing in my system? Should I install another improved version
of scilab?
Please, help me through as soon as possible.
