multiple axes on one figure

Dear all,

To superpose graphs with multiple y axes, the property a.filled should be put to "off" where a=gca() is the current axes handle.
It works fine as demonstrated in the example plotyy.dem.sce.

Nevertheless, I am trying to find the property  'filled' of axes in the axes handle and I don't find any corresponding case.
Does anybody know how to change this property through the Figure-->axes--> properties panel?
