Problem starting Scilab 5.3.0 on Vista

Helllo:

Anyone can give me a hint why is this happening just after installing and
then running it? Here is what I get as a message:

Startup execution:
  loading initial environment
 !--error 999
setenv: Wrong type for input argument #2: A string expected.
