[Scilab-users] root calculation + function crash

Dear all,

 

For my information, is there a faster method than the Newton one to
calculate roots (1 root for a non-linear equation) ?

 

NB : in case of "division by zero" in a function, is it possible to generate
a specific code in order to avoid program crash ?
