LTI filter H(z) from response to arbitrary input

Hi,

 

I am a new Scilab user, and want to find the filter transfer function
H(z) from an input/output pair for a linear time-invariant system.

 

For e.g., suppose my input is as below:

x(n) = unit step input

0          ,n<0

1          ,n>=0

 

& output is:

y(n) =

0          ,n<0

1          ,n=0

-1         ,n>0

 

Does Scilab have any function to accomplish this?
