I never used this, but from the documentation and a little try, it seems
that phasemag() computes the phase in the sense of complex numbers
argument.
So, it might be usefull if you represent your sine function by a complex
number (in case all your functions have the same frequency),
otherwise sorry, I'm not involved in signal processing so I will not be
able to advise you.
