Ctrl+U to clear from the beginning of the line to the cursor.
Ctrl+E then Ctrl+U to clear the whole line (Ctrl+E moves to the end of 
line and Ctrl+A to the beginning).
It's the same in tcsh, bash and many others (comes from emacs I think).
