* close Scinotes
* Edit the file SCIHOME\scinotesConfiguration.xml
* Look for the section

<SciNotes>
   <BackgroundColor  default="#FFFFFF"  value="#EEFFFF"/>
   <ForegroundColor  default="#000000"  value="#000000"/>
</SciNotes>

* Change value for backgroundColor
* Save the change
* Restart Scinotes : it should be ok
