* edit SCI\modules\scinotes\etc\scinotesGUIConfiguration.xml
* put in comment the content between <toolbar>... </toolbar>
   Beware: 2 comments are needed, since the content contains itself a 
comment
* Save the change: admin rights are needed
* Restart Scilab and scinotes : it should be ok
