[Scilab-users] imageprocessing problem

I just got scilab for this image processing project, and i've been trying to
get familiar with it.  So I read the example on pages 5 & 6 here:

I can load and view the image just fine, but when I got up to the part with
x=gray_imread('......') , it said something like ' undefined variable:
gray_imread '. I already have SIVP installed by the way, and I don't
understand what's wrong.
