Thanks a lot,
I was a little messed up with all the possible parameters,
tried param3d, param3d1, surf, mesh, ...

with a thickness of 0 and a grey scale in z,
its quite nice (see attached file).

Maybe I'll add some loose grid to have it somewhat clearer:
I noticed that whereas the mesh() creates a rester etfect,
the param3d() creates lines that go ,to the other surface,
but only in one direction...

BTW, is there a way to have a grey scale in x or y?

In my case, the PNG export is OK.
