Are you talking about the line color or the filling color (of the 
underlying polygon)?
Is the same varying color applied to the whole curve, or are they 
applied segment per segment?
What do you mean by "as it proceed"? is the curve moving? is it 
lengthening with previous segments fixed? is it reshaping? is it in 3D 
with nodes varying in z?
