[Scilab-users] How to produce a filled staircase plot

I tried polt2d2 (or plot2d and polyline_style=2)
With fill_mode="on" and background=2 (or whatever)
And get some weird result: only the caption is filled, not the polyline.

This is not what I expect when I read the help page

Did I misunderstand something or should I fill a bug report (is there already a bug report)?
