Thanks a lot for your solution.

Actually I don't need the gradient .
In that case may I provide only f?
Or is g indispensable?
In 'Description' of 'optim' help page, there is a explanation 'If ind=2,
costf must provide f.'

It seem to mean when I input ind=2 optim can work without the gradient by
user.
If so, how do I input ind=2?
