    you may remove all directories named<br>

and uninstall any previous Scilab 5.5.0 release.

Then try to instal it <i>on your desktop</i> (from where you have all 

rights to write).

Then run Scilab.

If you have an error before getting the console, you may make a screenshot

of the small window where the error is displayed, and post it here

(please not the whole screen).
