<p>Hi:</p>

<p>I have to test some audio equipment i've built, and i wanted to know if its possible to play a sound and record an input simultaneously with scilab. There is a portaudio toolbox, but is a bit old and i could not manage to get it working.</p>

<p>The idea is to generate some sinusoidal signals and play them throuh a pro audio card. That signal is going to be fed to my audio equipment under test and the response of it should be recorded by scilab. So i do not need to play what i'm recording; from

 scilab's point of view, they are two independent signals.</p>
