I do not think that this report is a duplicate of the bug 6766:

* Listing functions of a module is one thing.
  The role and work of the ~/DESCRIPTION-FUNCTIONS file of a module should be clarified.
  Some authors include this list in the description section of the module.
  A standard, more proper, and more useful way could be created.

* Having a search engine scanning these lists is another thing / step.
