The LASSO proposal for GSoC 2009

Dear All,

I've submitted the LASSO proposal to GSoC several days ago.
This is missing feature in
   http://wiki.scilab.org/Missing_Mathematical_features_in_Scilab

I have a good background in linear models. Could you give me some
suggestions on the proposal?
