Multivariate Polynomials

Hi all,

I am new to Scilab and I would like to find out the best way to use or 
represent multivariate polynomials in Scilab :-)
But I am a bit lost ..

I found the site

How is a single (univariate) polynomial stored ?
What is a reasonable way to represent multivariate polynomials ?
