I just installed Scilab-5.3.0beta4 which is released yesterday, and I found
that *.po files for Scinotes (modules/scinotes/locales/*/scinotes.po)
is quite old (June 23 2010).
It is not reflected some recent updates in launchpad.net.

Please check the settings.
