large binary files... [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

Hello, I am trying to read parts of large binary files (more than 2 GB 
total file length) with mgeti. I want to seek in the file and then work 
through it part by part. however, it seems, mgeti does not like large 
files. any hints?
