povray in scilab

Hello

I ld like to use povray to create a picture from complex 3D structures  
calculated in scilab.

Actually, the command is realized via the terminal
 >povray name.pov +X

and return a .png files.

I just would like to realize this operation directly in my scilab file.
I 've try

unix('povray name.pov +X');

but nothing happen, does someone can help me to find the good command.
