xcos block parameter not working

Dear Scilab members,

 

I have just installed Scilab 5.2.2 /win32 binary on VISTA/home premium/
Service pack 1.

After starting XCOS, the block parameter setting window does not appear when
double clicking on the diagram, which was not the case with
XP/Professional/Service Pack 3. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong?
