Yes, if I use wget I am able to retrieve the linux.gz file into the directory 
/tmp/SD_27790_/.atoms/ - manually

Would anyone have any further ideas on which direction to look to allow me to 
diagnose why I cannot retrieve toolboxes from scilab?
