Scilab on OS X Snow leopard

I've tried Hiroaki's solution, but it didn't work for me. The only 
effect was that the message about not finding the 1.5.0 version in the 
logs disappeared. Scilab didn't start and the java logo hung around in 
the  dock.

The update to 1.6.0 v2 moved the 1.5.0 install into a separate folder 
and replaced the links for 1.5.x with links to CurrentJDK. Now the 
message reappeared (1.5.0 not found, using 1.6.0 instead) but Scilab 
doesn't start anyway.

I will try the solution from bugzilla as soon as I will be able to 
access my iMac.
