maybe some SELINUX tricks?

I downloaded the binary package scilab-5.3.0-beta-3 but had to add

#chcon -t textrel_shlib_t 
 /usr/local/scilab-5.3.0-beta-3/lib/thirdparty/libjhdf5.so

before running the Modelica demos...
