About PVM

Hi everyone.

I am running scilab 5.1.1(which was in the synaptic package manager) on
ubuntu 9.10.
I am writing a code to be implemented on a cluster in scilab.
I would like to have details about how scilab and PVM go about achieving
parallel
programming. I have a parallel algorithm.
I mean for a cluster of n computers with a master node and n-1 workers,
with scilab installed in the master node (having as response to "with_pvm"
as "T"),
how does scilab talk to pvm and how does pvm talk to the workers and the
master (scilab)
in order to implement a parallel algorithm?
what if the response to "with_pvm" is 'F"?
I do not know if anybody has some documentation about that that I could use.

For a reason I cannot explain, the editor for this scilab stopped running.
when I click or try and run it,
scilab shuts down.
Anybody knows what the problem is? I tried reinstalling but it did not work.

Thanks alot.
Looking forward to a solution.
