Editvar doesn't display small numbers

Hi, all:

When I write small numbers in the Editvar cells, i.e. 0.00000123, it just shows 0

I haven't found options to format the cells; is there a way to see the whole digits of this numbers ?

Scilab 5.3.0, 5.3.1, 5.3.2 
Scilab 5.2.2 works fine.
OS: Ubuntu Linux 10.04; Windows XP SP2,SP3
