matlab to scilab translator - dialogbox font problem

I am using Scilab 5.3.3 on Windows Vista.  I am also very new to Scilab.
I have this problem: When I click on Applications -> Matlab to Scilab
Translator, a dialog box opens as shown in attached image.

None of the text can be read (except the top 2 lines). 
Could it be a problem with any missing font or language setting? Please help
