The developer is responsible for his/her mlist design:
  * when initializing or assigning data, their respective sizes may be 
checked
  * if data with distinct sizes are allowed, extraction may
      - either foresee  default values when some data are missing for 
some fields
      - or manage undefined values, as allowed in list and tlist
