[Scilab-users] overlay data onto image

Dear Experts,

assuming an image (grayscale) , showing a cross section of a geometry.

Assuming the geometry consits of several cavities, and each cavity has a
dedicated pressure.

Now I would like to print the pressure value into the cavity area.

I guess following approach could work:

Using Matplot to display the image.

Using xstring to overlay the pressure value.


But before I do this:

Is there any better way to do such thing?
