[Scilab-users] Difference btween flts and filter

Dear all,

I need to filter a signal whose Z transfer function has been created 
through syslin from the numerator and denominator polynomials (not sure 
if this step is necessary).

Should I use flts or filter?

I don't quite grasp the difference, perhaps somebody can enlighten me.
