Well to sum it up, the point of the exam is to give a theoretical basis of
the z-transform, introduction, region of convergence, properties of the
z-transform, and something little about the inverse z-transform. Along with
it comes a series of problems that need to be solved. The solutions consist
of a theoretical part, and a concrete solution in Scilab only. The problems
are from Alan V. Oppenheim's book "Signals and systems" 2nd edition.
Specifically problems 10.1-10.1. Solutions should be like the ones that are
presented in this book
